Kathy is a positive, warm, and energetic therapist who believes that you have all the answers inside you and her job is to help you recognize them. Helping you connect to your own wisdom and grow from your experiences is a treasured responsibility for Kathy and one she feels lucky to be able to do. She focuses on where you are and tries to meet you there while gently challenging thinking errors and obstacles in your path.
Kathy attended the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 1997. She got her Master of Science degree in Counseling and Counselor Education in 1999 from Indiana University-Bloomington. Kathy has been trained in EMDR by the EMDR Institute and has logged many hours of continuing education in the field of trauma, the narcissistic/codependent dynamic, and working with children and adolescents. She has an extensive background in various treatment settings such as community mental health, child and family services, group private practice, non-for-profit organizations, community outreach and residential treatment.
Kathy sees clients aged 4 and up and treats Children, Adolescents, Adults, and Families.
Chief is a support dog that comes to the office on most days. He is quite friendly but will respect your boundaries if you are not a dog person.

Education/Experience: Chief has solid life experience at age 13 and has a certificate in being a Canine Good Citizen from the American Kennel Club
